We're back
The AIESEC Adelaide University blog is back! Due to some changes in Blogger's account system there have been a few issues, but now everything is fixed and there should be more updates on their way.So what's been happening in our LC? In short...
1) AU contributed to the national recruitment campaign ("350 high quality new members...what's your contribution?") with 36 new members selected and inducted. Katherine from On-Campus Communications would like to thank the whole LC for their efforts in recruitment, in particular the People Development team for their excellent work in running a smooth induction and selection.
2) Congratulations to Simon, who raised TNs with Clipsal and Michel's. A very warm welcome is extended to Pavel from the Czech Republic who is currently filling the traineeship position at Clipsal.
3) Congratulations to Sui, who ran a very successful Student Review Board (SRB) for the exchange candidates, as well as organising internships for Chris and Cate under very trying circumstances. Both will be starting in their positions in China in July.
4) Congratulations also to the following who received awards at the recent Rewards & Recognition ceremony; Chris, Michelle, Zac and Martin. The decisions for these awards were extremely difficult due the high potential, hard work and enthusiasm of all current members.
What's coming up?
1) MELCon! This year, AIESEC Australia's July conference will be held at St Mary's College in Melbourne. This promises to be a huge event, with sponsors the University of Melbourne, Monash University, ANZ, Standard & Poor's, Asialink, Australian Association of Graduate Employers Ltd in conjunction with national partners Shell, Electrolux, Singapore Airlines, GE, P&G and Vivente Australia. Pre-conference events will be from July 5-8, some of which will be open to the public, with the conference itself from July 9-14. Information and registration can be found here.
2) AIESEC AU will be looking for students who want to go on exchange over the summer break! If you would like to do a 3 month internship starting in December, it's time to start applying! Email sui.khoo@aiesec.net for details.
